Generation settings

Prompts, reference images, aspect ratios, and image sizes in Orichar.

Home and Creation

Start on the homepage with a character idea, optional reference image, aspect ratio, and image size. Start creating carries that draft into Creation, which you can also open directly from the left navigation.

Creation shows a gallery above a composer fixed at the bottom. New generations appear first, alongside your earlier results. Thumbnails share one height, with widths following each image’s proportions and wrapping into aligned rows; use Load more to browse older creations. Open Generation settings beside the reference-image button to change ratio and image size. Check the displayed credit cost and sign in to generate. Your draft, including the local reference image, is preserved in the same browser tab through login. Generation starts only when you submit it in Creation; opening the page does not charge credits.

Hover over an image for download, reuse, and more actions. On touch screens, these controls stay visible. Click an image to open a large preview beside its prompt, recorded model, actual pixel dimensions, ratio, image size, creation date, and credit status. You can copy the prompt, download the image, or delete it after confirmation. Use these settings fills the composer with the prompt, ratio, and image size for editing; it clears any unrelated reference image and does not start a new generation.

Your private Assets opens results in Creation for viewing, downloading, and reusing a prompt. Reusing a prompt lets you edit it before submitting a new request.

Model and input

Orichar currently uses GPT Image 2 through OpenRouter. Enter a description of your character. A reference image is optional; accepted formats are PNG, JPEG, and WebP, up to 10 MB.

Aspect ratio

Choose from 1:1, 2:3, 3:2, 3:4, 4:3, 9:16, 16:9, or 21:9. Each ratio has an exact pixel size at each tier.

Image size

Choose 1K (4 credits) or 2K (8 credits). Quality is fixed at Medium for every new request. Review the displayed credit cost before generating.

Results and failures

One request generates one image. A successful result settles the reserved credits. A confirmed technical failure releases them. If the outcome is still being checked, the request can remain pending until it is resolved.

Opening Creation, Assets, or a template or tool workspace checks your previously submitted requests. Checks continue while the page is visible. A request that never started can resume; an image that was saved before an interruption can be restored to your results. This does not submit your current draft or reserve credits again. Requests with an unknown outcome remain under review rather than generating another paid image automatically.

If generation fails, the result and your character history show the available reason and guidance. Examples include a content-policy rejection, an invalid request, or a temporarily unavailable provider. A generic rejection does not necessarily mean a content-policy violation. Older requests may have no detailed reason recorded.

Credit status is shown separately: returned for confirmed failures, charged for successful results, and reserved while the outcome needs review. Avoid submitting the same request again while it is under review.

Administrators can search and filter generation records, inspect prompts and images, and view recorded provider diagnostics such as the failure stage, HTTP status, and request ID. Technical diagnostics are restricted to administrators; private records are not publicly listed.

A new generation, including a retry because you dislike a successful result, is a new charged request. Review the credit rules.
